I have a Compaq laptop with Windows Vista and I‘m having problems with the display?
It’s really bizarre the right side of the screen splits and mirrors the left side. This often happens when I leave it on too long. How can I fix it? I have tried everything. Help.

Hi Jen' That is the screen itself or the video card. But, I have cone across this on a defective screen. If it is under warranty, call them immediately because if you wait, those computer laptop screens are about $250.

What about the G network does it work with a/b/n/g compaq laptop network?
i get it some say that A network is kind of a obsolete as a network i need a internal and external answer about how a wireless connection works with a wireless router as a laptop network connectivity.does it connect and work in far away areas?

n is the newest standard and can travel further and be used by more devices.

Here is the breakdown, and no "a" is not obsolete nor is it the oldest either. The 802.11a is on 5,8ghz band. In many cases it will work better than the others as there is less interference in that range. All the others are on the 2.4 band b.g.n (n also may be dual banded and thus is actually a 2.4 and 5.8) there are routers for any of these. B is the slowest standard at 11mbs, G is at 54mbs, N can be 200 or above depending on the manufacturer. N is very nearly a finished standard but has not yet been "confirmed" - it should be shortly.

My brother has a new Compaq laptop and he is having a problem burning music onto a Maxell CD-R.?
My brother has a new Compaq laptop and he is having a problem burning music onto a Maxell CD-R.?
After he inserts the CD-R into his laptop to burn the music, the cd tray pops open and windows tells him to insert a disc into his drive. He tried calls Compaq(HP) and they told him he needs either HP or Sony discs. We both find Has anyone had this issue and how do you resolve it? I should point out he is using Windows Media player. Ryan He has also tried Musicmatch.

i would get better software WMP sucks for burning audio try nero or blaze media

Hi, You would need to use a program that came with your pc that makes use of your webcam. Some Compaq laptops have the YouCam program installed, otherwise you can use it with skype or yahoo messenger. Firstly, just check if your webcam is recognized by the Operating System you are running. On Windows 7, right click on My Computer and click on properties > Click on Device Manager on the left pane > Go to Imaging devices and that should list your webcam. Hope this helps
