How can I upgrade my (Hp Compaq nx9110) laptop RAM?
My hp Compaq nx9110 laptop RAM is upgraded from 512 mb to 2gb, but it restarts again and again when it starts up, what could be the solution for such kinds of problems? TANK'S for everybody help..

If the problem first started after the memory upgrade, the first thing I'd try is removing and re-seating the memory module(s). The memory may not be installed correctly. If that doesn't help, I'd try going back to the 512 meg configuration. If doing that works, that would indicate a problem with the new RAM.

Compaq F730US Laptop
Does the Compaq F730US laptop come with a Vista installation CD?
Other laptops have a Vista installation CD that come along with them. However, the Compaq F730US laptop does not come with a Vista CD. Does anyone with a similar laptop get the Vista CD?

I has an HP desktop with Windows XP, it did not come with a CD with XP, I had to burn my own off a program that was on the computer. And HP bought compaq so i figure yours will be the same

If you have a computer, i would not suggest Vista, i dont realy like Vista because it works weird. just thought i would suggest that. :)

It depends on who sold you the computer. most computer dealers are giving Vista away with their systems. Its not compulsary and depends on the dealer.

I have the same laptop, the Compaq F730US. It did not come with the Vista CD either. Most companies are not sending out new systems with the OS Cd's. They come with a seperate partition in the hard drive, which will have the operating system in its original state, as it was when purchased. So if you want to do a new install of the OS, you would do it through that. However, it is always better to make a backup CD of the OS. The HP total care advisor which pops up when you start your laptop, will allow you to do that.

Password on XP pro on Compaq laptop
bypass admin password on XP pro on Compaq laptop?
I have a compaq laptop and been using it for many years. I installed an anti-spyware software recently and it now asks for an admin password. I use XP pro. I tried the ctl+alt+del+del but no joy. Can anyone help?

I would reccomend OPHCrack. http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/ Download: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/ophcrack/ophcrack-livecd-1.2.2.iso?modtime=1188977884&big_mirror=0 It is for if you have forgotten your Windows password. You will need to burn it to disk and then boot from disk. You can find instructions on the website. P.S. Don't use this if you haven't got permission - that's just lame.
