How do i take pictures on webcam with my compaq laptop?
Im blonde right, so give me a detailed answer! on my acer laptop i just typed in webcam in the windows search bar thing, but with the compaq i cant find the webcam, to take pictures, it works on msn fine though :/

hmm, I think the easiest thing to do is to go on Facebook Video Chat Rounds and just take a pic there -- http://www.rounds.com/facebook-video-chat/ You don't have to do anything with your webcam -- the Chat Rounds will detect it automatically and then just ask if you want to "allow access" and then just click "allow." :)

Where is the memory card to plug it in my Compaq laptop?
I have a camera and I was wondering where the memory card to plug in my Compaq laptop without buying a cent at the shop.

You may not have a card reader built into your computer, and you may need to buy one. Also, most digital cameras come with a USB transfer cable that will allow you to just plug the entire camera into your USB port and transfer the pictures without even removing the memory card.

How do I restore my Compaq Laptop?
Need to know how to restore my Compaq Laptop because the tech support wont tell you unless you purchase something. Please help.

first let me know which window you're using, windows xp restores in safe mode and windows 7 in normal also
2 :
XP, Vista, Win7? Do you have the disk? If not, some computer have a separate partition "built in" to restore. Need more help, drop a line.

what r u trying to do restore r reset to factory settings, most of the times u do with ur install cd, to reset some of them does it by holding the Alt key at start-up & hit the F10 key>:)

Why does my Compaq Laptop keep freezing?
Why does my Compaq Laptop keep freezing?
I have a Compaq Presario laptop that I just bought in August. It worked fine for awhile, but then it started freezing. It freezes at random times when i'm trying to do things like watch videos on youtube or search things on the internet. I already took it to the geek squad at Best Buy, but they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it. If that wasn't bad enough, it now overheats all of the time. Does anyone know what's wrong with my laptop?

you have answered your own question. if a laptop is freezing up with nothing wrong on the software side then it is mechanical. since you said it is overheating that leads to a bad fan or heat sink inside the computer. either the video card is overheating or the processor itself is overheating. i would recommend calling the customer support if you bought it in august and letting them know that it is over heating and freezing up and a computer tech was not able to find any problems with the software. normally this soon they will either fix it or replace it.

Compaq is a really cheap version of HP's computers. My Compaq used to do the same things, primarily because I don't think Compaq's can handle Windows 7. Check your system information and see what performance you have. Presario's have a lot of issues because they are the cheapest from HP. I don't know what possessed you to buy a Presario, but I hope this helped...

The first guy is right but still i have to say I'm an owner of a Compaq mini 110c and im not impressed with HP's work on this machine I've had it less than a year and I've had to send it in about 6 times and its all ben hardware problems i recommend going for Dell or any other company for that matter

you are overheating the graphics card. Get a lapad or a simple fan unit to sit it on and it will stop doing that.
