My compaq laptop has started to make a weird rattle, almost like an electric fan?
It started last night but I thought it might just be overuse in the day so I turned it off. Now it's the next day and the rattle still persists. I figure its coming from the internal cooling fan. Is this dangerous?

If it's coming from the fan then the bearings inside are worn out. Should be a $10 replacement for a new fan.
