Compaq Evo laptop not hibernating though all the settings are right?
My compaq laptop (Evo N800c) used to hibernate very normally when i closed the lid. Off lately it has stopped. I have even checked the settings in the contorol pannel > power option > when i close the lid > hibernate, but still it remains in the in tehj standby mode. Please help me out I have XP service pack 2. The problem solves if i restore the settings of the laptop to an earlier date but the problem resurfaces after some time, Please help !!!

It is a DRIVER issue and a computer issue. Time for a new laptop.
