How can I do a Full System Recovery on a Compaq Preserio laptop without the Recovery Disc?

How can I do a Full System Recovery on a Compaq Preserio laptop without the Recovery Disc?
I've had a Compaq Presario C500 laptop for about 5 years, and it's become very slow, so I've decided that I would do a full system recovery. But in order to do a full system recovery, I need the recovery disc that came with the laptop, but as it happens to be, I've lost it. I was wondering if there's a solution so I could still recover the laptop to factory condition without the recovery disc. Thanks.

most computers these days come with the restore loaded already on the system . If you go to start and type restore it should show you where it is located. If not you can call the company from which the computer is registered and they will send you out a new restore disc. Other than that I don't think there is a way to restore it without the two options.

If you had purchased computer as new in that case there are chances if you call customer support of your computer and tell them you need recovery disc in rare case they could have old stock but they will bill you. Try your luck.
3 :
Restart your laptop and immediately tap the F8 or F11 key to boot into the recovery partition
