Why does my compaq laptop have no power?
My laptop was working perfectly yesterday. Today my screen is black. What can i do?

It must be out of battery. Plug it into the power cable.

I once have a compaq. It was a presario. Try to adjust the ac cable (the one that is to be attached to the laptop end) until you can see the orange light in front (which indicates, the battery is being charged). Once you can attain that light, keep it in that position until the batteries are fully charged (the light turns to green). But first, you have to look at other things like the surge protector or maybe the plug is loosened or something.

It is probable your battery. You will need to get a new one. If you have a warranty you will be fine. If not you can call best buy and you can buy one from them and they will send it to you in the mail. It could also be you AV power adaptor. It could just be broken and you have no power going throw it. Try to move it around when you plug it in to the computer. You know what I take back what you said to call best buy. Call Compaq the will be more help if what I said did not work.

Plug it in and wiggle the connector until it lights up, let it fully charge before trying to boot it up again.
