can you download imovie on a Compaq laptop?
I know imovie is made by apple. Can you install imovie on any laptop or computer or are you just able to install it on a mac, air, or any other APPLE machine.

iMovie is only for systems running iOS (which means anything Apple, unless you manage to create a Hackintosh, but that's an uber-geek topic) --- Kasey C, PC guru since Apple II days Don't take life too seriously; you won't get out alive.

There are 2 main versions of iMovie. There is a limited and cut down version for iOS (made for the iPad) and there is the normal version made for Mac OS X. There are no versions that run on Windows or Linux or any other OS... so you need an iPad or a Mac.
