How do I find out the exact make of my compaq laptop?
I need a new charger for my laptop, need to ensure I get the right one. How do I find out the make of it? Can't find the paperwork :(

There should be a model name and/or number listed on your computer somewhere (mines is listed right beneath the laptop monitor). you can also look on the underside of your laptop, there should be a sticker that lists the "product", S/n, p/n, and service tag. what it lists for the "product" is what you should use to search for the charger. you can also try this website for more help: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/siteHomeC?lc=en&cc=us you can also try calling calling HP(hewlett packard) additionally... you can also click on "start" (located to the left of your toolbar, the one at the BOTTOM of your computer screen), then highlight "programs", then highlight "accessories", then highlight "system tools", then click on "system information". A screen will open up, the "computer model" will display the information you seek I meant "system model", not computer model.
