Make sure you got all the win vista drivers, other than that yes. Please dont do that, Win7 is rock solid!

Yes you can but why would you want Vista. Vista is full of problems. It unstable, slow, and full of compatibility issues.

It depends on how you install windows vista. If done properly yes it can be done but it is hard 75% of the time you will fail so I dont recommend it

It's possible, but it's a terrible idea. Win 7 is basically what Vista should have been. They're even built on (essentially) the same kernel, so the same drivers/software should work on both in pretty much all cases. Why would you want Vista over 7?

Why would you want to do that? Vista is a piece of %%%$$$. Windows 7 is a much better operating system. It is less resource hungry and more stable than Vista. I succeeded in not selling systems with Vista on it during it's lifespan - I sold machines with Vista licenses but with a "downgrade" to XP (the downgrade was pre-installed by the various manufacturers (HP, Acer etc).

Yes, as long as you own a copy of Windows Vista. If you are going to downgrade from 7, though, Windows XP is a better choice. If your laptop didn't come with a Windows 7 installation disk, make sure you follow your manufacturer's instructions on burning a startup CD to help you reinstall Windows 7 if you want to later. Otherwise, you will have to buy another copy.
