Compaq laptop V2000 has no "hibernation" mgmt in the power options. How do I add it?
I reloaded XP Home on my Compaq V2000 notebook. Now I do not have "hibernate" as a power management option. Also, the function-key "sleep" button does nothing. Do I need to download a driver or an XP patch to get the hibernate alternative back?

In Control Panel, Power Options you should have a Tab which says Hibernate. You can then enable Hibernation. If you not have the Tab then make sure you have installed all the Service Packs up to SP3.
