I have replace the screen and the inverter on a compaq f700 laptop but still have a dim image. Any ideas?
Screen went dim (no backlight) can see it fine if I plug in a monitor. I could see faint image if I shined a light on screen. I replaced the screen and the inverter, but the image is still very dim. Looking for ideas. The laptop was 4 days out of warranty and compaq wanted a minimum of 398.00 to fix it.

You may also need to replace the back light
